Artist's Description

Entry of the National Guard into Paris, after the Prussian campaign, 1807 (1882-1884). Napoleon's army returning in triumph to Paris on 25th November after their campaign that culminated in the decisive defeat of the Prussian Army at the Battle of Jena. The victory eliminated the Prussians from the alliance against France until 1813.
