(Original Caption) 3/22/1922- Emile Treville Holley, 17, a student at the College of the City of New York, who has been named as a candidate for entrance examinations to the Naval Academy at Annapolis, is congratulated by fellow students. Should he pass his examinations, he will be the first of his race to enter the Naval Academy since the reconstruction period following the Civil War.
