(Original Caption) 3/24/1922- Emile Treville Holley, 17, a student at the College of the City of New York, who has been named as a candidate for entrance examinations to the Naval Academy at Annapolis. Young Holley, while a student at Townsend Harris High School, from which he graduated only last year, earned the reputation of being an excellent scholar and a noted athlete. Should he successfully pass the examinations, he will be the first of his race to enter the Naval Academy since the reconstruction period.
