8/10/1948-Washington, DC-ORIGINAL CAPTION READS: During his testimony before the house Un-American Activities Committee, Duncan Lee (Seated) is asked to identify a photograph of Jacob Golos by Robert Strippling, Chief Investigator for the Committee. Elizabeth Bentley, confessed Communist spy courier testithat she brought information from spy rings to Golos in New York but Lee denied he had furnished Miss Bentley with confidential information.(Photo by Bettmann Archive/Getty Images)
