Description
(Original Caption) Duk Soo Palace. Seoul, Korea: Duk Soo Palace, Seoul, the site of all U.S.-U.S.S.R. Joint commission meeting in South Korea was completed in 1910 after eleven years of work by Chinese labor. The Japanese intended the impressive granite stone palace to be occupied by the Korean Royal family but the ousted monarch and his family never moved into the structure. The flags of the United States, Korea, and Russia wave in the breeze during Joint Commission meeting but only the U.S. and Korean flags fly when the Commission is not in session.
