(Original Caption) The ambidextrous art of Mickey Mantle is getting to be a sore trial to oppose managers. Mantle merely switched from one side of the plate to the other, depending on whether he is facing a right or left-handed hurler. He demonstrated graphically by belting out homers from either side in the game against the White Sox, giving the Yankees an 807 victory. Mantle is the first switch hitter in the American League ever to hit homers from each side of the plate.
