Shumway (second from right, wearing glasses) perform a landmark heart-lung transplant here 3/9. The patient, afflicted with serious heart disease, is Mrs. Mary Gohlke, 45, newspaper executive from Mesa, Arizona. Mrs. Gohlke came out of the operation looking "very good," said Dr. Reitz.
