Artist's Description

DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) transcription, computer illustration. During transcription complementary messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) strands (pink) are synthesised by the enzyme RNA polymerase (green). Also seen are the enzymes DNA topoisomerase (magenta), which unwinds DNA, DNA endonuclease (violet), which cuts DNA strands, and DNA ligase (yellow), which joins DNA strands together.
