(Original Caption) "Thirty dollars every Thursday," is the roseate slogan of California'a newest pension scheme, organizers of which already claim a million supporters, although but 187,000 signatures are required on the petition to put the plan on the November ballot. Attracting the same audience which flocked to Townsend Plan meetings, the movement, confined only to the state of California, does not conflict with the $200-a-month Townsend plan. Sale of publications and membership cards bring on $1,300 weekly.
