Paddy DeMarco(left), known to ring enthusiasts as the "Billy Goat," gives a demonstration of how he earned his nickname. DeMarco, with head lowered and hands at his side, charges defending champion Jimmy Carter in the March 5th title bout. Once inside Carter's defense, Paddy places his head on his opponent's shoulder and flails away with both hands. This was part of the strategy employed by "Billy" in his amazing upset victory over Carter. By the win, DeMarco became Lightweight Champion of the World.
