(Original Caption) An exceedingly rare photograph is this one of the Coronation procession following the Crowning of Czar Nicholas II, last of the Russian Czars. The scene is in St. Petersburg in the year 1894. The Royal canopy beneath which the Czar is seated, wearing his crown and royal robes, is being drawn along the line of procession by members of the court. In front of the Czar, the Royal Guard proceeds, Church Dignitaries. Czar Nicholas was forced to abdicate in 1917 following the Russian Revolution. He and the Czarina, their son and four daughters were murdered by the Bolshevists July 6, 1918 in Ekaterinburg.
