(Original Caption) New York: Tube Strike Causes Ferry Jam. A rushing business was done by the ferries today in the wake of the early morning strike by 80 Tower and Signalmen of the Hudson Tubes. Some 70,000 New Jersey-Manhattan Commuters had to find other means of getting to work and this ferry boat jam at Courtland Street Pier shows how thousands solved the problem.
