The crowd at Burry Port, a small Welch mining town, gather around to watch the seaplane Friendship, containing Amelia Earhart and crew, taxi out of the harbor for Southampton. The flight, which was piloted by Wilbur Stultz, began from Trepassey Bay, Newfoundland, and ended more than 2,000 miles away in Burry Port, Wales.
