Description
(Original Caption) Fifty years ago, Saturday, May 21, 1927, Charles Lindbergh, a lanky 25-year-old from the American Midwest, dropped out of the night sky onto Paris' Le Bourget Airfield and was nearly mobbed by a cheering crowd of 200,000. The Frenchmen honoring him here are enjoying the event as much as "The Lone Eagle," whose flashing boyish smile is matched by theirs.
