Description
30th April 1955: A crescent of houses made of granite in Aberdeen. Aberdeen, situated on the North Sea, is known as the Granite City because granite is one of its main exports and many of the buildings in the area are built from the hard wearing, grey rock. The area is now a major service centre for the North Sea oil industry.
