Artist's Description

The Dolomites are a mountain group of the southern Limestone Alps, but are also attributed to the Southern Alps. They are distributed between the regions of Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige in Italy, or - in equal parts - the provinces of Belluno, South Tyrol and Trento. Since 2009, parts of the Dolomites belong to the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Dolomites.
