Count Jean Rapp', circa 1800, (circa 1835), (1896). General Count Jean Rapp (1771-1821) was a French Army officer during the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars. Rapp was Sub-Lieutenant in 1794, aide-de-camp to Desaix, captain in 1796 and squadron chief in 1798, Napoleon Bonaparte?s aide-de-camp from 1800 until 1814, Brigadier General in 1803, Division General in 1804. He took part in all the great campaigns of the Empire. Engraving after the painting made circa 1835 by Edouard Cibot.
