(Original Caption) In the fall of 1920, Lindbergh rode his Excelsior motorcycle from the farm to Madison, Wisconsin, to enter the University of Wisconsin "probably more because of its nearby lakes than because if its high engineering standards. Then, as now, I could not be happy living long away from water.," he wrote.Photo was taken in June of 1921.
