Charles II Processing from the Tower of London to Westminster, 22 April 1661. Charles II (1630-1685), King of England and Scotland from 1660, eldest son of Charles I (1600-1649), after the fall of the Protectorate and the Restoration of the Monarchy returned to England in 1660.
