Description
The Edicule of the Chapel of Ascension on top of Mount Olives, it was built in the 12th century by the Crusaders. Tradition says this is where Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven from forty days after resurrection. The wall in the background is a remain of the 4th century Byzantine church. Jerusalem, Israel.
