Celebrating both their successful escape from Communist East Germany, and the 28th birthday of the man who planned it all, relatives of Harry Deterling sit around the coffee table with him at the Marienfelde refugee camp. Deterling, a railway engineer,
drove an East German train through to West Berlin and freedom lat December 5th,
