Artist's Description

UNITED STATES - DECEMBER 06: Broadway N.W. at46TH ST, Today, of course, Broadway is a movie midway but the block has not lost its 'restaurant' flavor. Childs has replaced Churchill's and a Horn and Hardart Automat has moved in where Eddie Foy's name was once beamed to passersby. The automobile has completely taken over (and how!) and the nearest horse and buggy you'll find is 13 blocks uptown at Central Park., (Photo by David McLane/NY Daily News Archive via Getty Images)
