(Original Caption) A wide angle shot of the bow of the USS Saratoga, the world's most powerful warship, as the super carrier made her first move since the keel was laid in 1952. The big ship was taken from the New York Naval Shipyard drydock where she was built to Pier K for final fitting before commissioning. Scheduled date for commissioning is April 14, 1956.
