Description
Bondhusdalen valley in rural Hordaland county, Norway. The valley has been formed by glacial activity over several millenia; now, the glacier, much diminished since the last Ice Age, still feeds the Bondhuselva, or the Bondhus River. The river is fed by glacial runoff at the top of the Folgefonna plateau; the river flows down the valley to feed the Bondhus Lake, then flows down to the fjord through the village of Sundal at the foot of the mountains. At the mouth of the river is the village of Sundal, a tourist destination for over 150 years and home to about 70 residents. The river empties into the Marangerfjord. The images are taken with a drone.
