(Original Caption) 6/30/1935-Los Angeles, CA- Benny Howard believes that Mrs. Howard and the soft felt hat that he wears constitute his lucky combination in the air. So he has brought them both with him to the National Air Races here, in which he will participate. Mr. and Mrs. Howard are shown upon their arrival with "Mike," the 1200-pound racing plane in which Benny says he can make more than 250 miles per hour.
