(Original Caption) 10/9/1919-Lake Michigan, MI- Somebody's always taking the joy out of life. This photo shows several kegs of real honest to goodness Milwaukee lager being dumped into Lake Michigan at Chicago on the order of Federal Judge Landis. The beer was shipped to Chicago from Milwaukee, and as its batting average was slightly more than the stipulated 2.75, the cruel judge ordered it destroyed. Several Chicagoans were rescued from the lake later in the day.
