Artist's Description
(Original Caption) 6/1973-Skylab Space Station- This outstanding photograph shows astronaut activity under zero gravity conditions aboard the Skylab I/II space station cluster in Earth orbit. Scientist-astronaut Joseph Kerwin gives an oral exam to Astronaut Charles Conrad, Jr. They are in the crew quarters of the orbital workshop. Conrad almost literally stands on his head in the weightlessness of space with the only restraint being a strap around his left leg.
