(Original Caption) New York: Tennis great Arthur Ashe seems almost out of place with street clothes and a tennis racket, but he was on hand at the U. S. Open Tennis Championships in Flushing Meadow 8/30, as he made his first public appearance since suffering what was called a mild heart attack on 7/30. Ashe, 36, was promoting a line of sporting goods as he held a press conference here. "I'm feeling very good," he said. "I can walk around now," and he added, "it feels good to be able to make my first public appearance, that's for sure."
