'Remains of Aqueduct of Metz [France, Roman]; Aqueduct of Pont du Gard near Nismes [over the River Gardon near Nîmes, France, Roman]; Aqueduct of Maintenon [built by Louis XIV to carry water from the Eure River to the gardens of the Palace of Versailles, France]; Aqueduct Delle Torre, Spoleto [Ponte delle Torri, Italy, 13th-century aqueduct possibly built on Roman foundations]; Chirk Aqueduct (Ellesmere Canal), [designed in 1801 by Thomas Telford, carries the Llangollen Canal across the River Ceiriog near Wrexham in Wales]; Dee Aqueduct (Ellesmere Canal)', [completed in 1805, carries the Llangollen Canal across the River Dee at Froncysyllte near Wrexham, Wales].
