(Original Caption) American soldiers protesting the slowdown in demobilization are shown demonstrating outside U.S. Military headquarters in London's Grosvenor Square after staging a march from Hyde Park. This was the first such demonstration held in London. Today General Dwight D. Eisenhower, U.S. Army Chief of Staff, pledged that all soldiers who are entitled to discharge by July 1st will be out of the Army by that date.
