Description
Dallol is a region in the Danakil Desert of Ethiopia. It is 130m below sea level, and holds the distinction of being the hottest inhabited place on earth, with temperatures sometimes exceeding 50 degrees Celsius. It is famous for the Dallol Volcano, which has created an alien landscape through its small, but numerous acidic geysers resulting in impossibly multicolored rock formations.
