Artist's Description

circa 1912: Woodrow Wilson (1856 - 1924),the 28th President of the United States of America (1913 - 1921). A Democrat, he kept America out of the 1st World War until 1917. He received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1919. Born in Virginia he became Governor of New Jersey in 1910. In 1919 he had a stroke, from which he never fully recovered.
