With the 1958 Porsche 365A Carrera GT Speedster, Porsche entered the production-based racer market by merging the Speedster body and the Fuhrmann-designed engine from the 550A Spyders. This car, presently owned and meticulously restored by the Collier Automotive Museum, was often raced by Bruce Jennings, and won sixty-seven national victories as well as three SCCA national Championships.
