Description
Correo Azul river. The reason why the water is so clear is because most of the rivers in the region of Bonito have their head springs in areas of very pure limestone, with no other types of materials that could bring sediments to the water. In association with well-protected gallery forests, these rivers are kept clear with such an incredible visibility. And since the water is so transparent, a significant amount of sunlight reaches the bottom and enables the growth of plants that need such source of light in order to accomplish the process of photosynthesis.
