(Original Caption) In 1956, a year of wars, revolutions and disasters, a romance, that of Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier, was voted into the "Big Ten" news stories of the year. In the opinion of editors of United Press client newspapers who cast ballots in a country wide poll, the wedding of the sovereign of the tiny principality and his actress bride rated as the eight biggest story of 1956. In this close up view, Prince Rainier slips the ring on the finger of Grace Kelly, as she becomes his princess bride in a religious ceremony in the Cathedral of St. Nicholas.
