NEW YORK CITY - JULY 1970: American guitarists, singer songwriters and musicians Happy Traum (left, born Harry Peter Traum) and Artie Traum (right, Arthur Roy "Artie" Traum - April 3, 1943 - July 20, 2008) pose for a portrait in July, 1970 in New York City, New York. Born in the Bronx, New York City, Happy and Artie Traum were an integral part of the Greenwich Village folk music scene of the late 1950s and 1960s. Happy and Artie Traum were legendary members of the Woodstock, New York musicians' community since the 1970s, recording highly reqarded allbums of original music as a duo, Happy and Artie Traum, as well as playing and recording with musicians like singer songwriter Bob Dylan, folk legends Pete Seeger and Ronnie Gilbert, guitarist Rory Block, singer Maria Muldaur, musicians Rick Danko and Levon Helm of the rock band, The Band, and singer songwriters like Eric Anderson, John Sebastian, and Jerry Jeff Walker, and many others.
