(Original Caption) Bette Davis, the movie star, was one of the ten prominent women of 1939 listed in the fourth annual selection, made public today, of Durward Howes, editor of the biographical dictionary of American Women. The two-time winner of the Motion Picture Academy Award for excellence in acting was listed because she has never turned in a bad performance, and has been voted a "good scout" by her colleagues.
