Peter Paul Rubens, Flemish Baroque artist, 1609 (1956). A self portrait of Rubens (1577-1640 and his first wife, Isabella Brant. Rubens is considered by many to be one of the greatest painters in European art history, a master of the Baroque style and the most important Flemish painter of the 17th century.
