(Original Caption) 9/17/1958-Washington, DC- Teamster President, James R. Hoffa(right) confers with Counsel, Robert Kennedy, of the Senate Labor Racket Committee. Earlier, Hoffa scheduled a new teamster convention, and the committee quickly charged that 56% of the vote, which elected Hoffa at last October's convention, was "illegal." Hoffa's action in calling for the new convention was designed, in Hoffa's words, to "get rid of" the court-appointed Board of Monitors for the Union. Center is Walter J.
