Pi is the sixteenth letter of the Greek alphabet. In the system of Greek numerals it has a value of 80. Most notably, pi is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter in Euclidean geometry. The Greek alphabet has an important role in the nomenclature of astronomical bodies and subatomic particles.
