Description

The lighthouse was built in 1859 as an octagonal tower standing 26m high on Godrevy island just off the rugged coastline of Godrevy Head, North Cornwall. It continues to protect shipping vessels from the dangerous rocks and strong tides. The coast is accessible along the South-West Coastal path and is a favourite place for seals.
