11th March 1957: A group of people in a Glasgow street discuss the tuberculosis epidemic currently sweeping the city. The death rate from TB in Scotland is twice that of the English figure. Health officials have staged a publicity campaign in the city to raise awareness of the disease and increase attendance at the emergency X-ray sessions.
