Famous Russian Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Basil the Blessed. This church was built in Moscow on Red Square from 1555 to 1561. It features distinctive onion domes and is the most recognized building in Moscow and in Russia. In the foreground is the monument to Prince Dmitry Pozharsky and Kuzma Minin, who gathered an all-Russian volunteer army and expelled foreign forces from Moscow in 1612. The monument was unveiled in 1818.
